Sushi Protein Bowl

  1. 1Cook the protein

    Season 1 can of tuna with salt and pepper. Cook in a skillet over medium-high heat until cooked through and nicely browned, then slice or chop.

  2. 2Warm the grain

    If your rice is pre-cooked, microwave 1 cup of rice with a splash of water for 90 seconds. If cooking from scratch, follow the package.

  3. 3Cook the veg

    Steam or microwave 1/2 of cucumber until just tender, about 3-4 minutes. You want it bright, not mushy.

  4. 4Build the bowl

    Rice goes in first, then the protein on top, then the vegetable alongside.

  5. 5Sauce it

    Drizzle 1 tbsp of soy sauce over everything and toss or leave layered — your call.
