Salmon Avocado Rice Bowl

  1. 1Sear the salmon

    Pat 1 fillet of salmon dry, season with salt and pepper, and cook skin-side down in a hot oiled pan for 4 minutes. Flip and cook 2-3 more minutes until it flakes easily.

  2. 2Warm the grain

    If your rice is pre-cooked, microwave 1 cup of rice with a splash of water for 90 seconds. If cooking from scratch, follow the package.

  3. 3Cook the veg

    Steam or microwave 1/2 of cucumber until just tender, about 3-4 minutes. You want it bright, not mushy.

  4. 4Build the bowl

    Rice goes in first, then the protein on top, then the vegetable alongside.

  5. 5Sauce it

    Drizzle 1 tbsp of soy sauce over everything and toss or leave layered — your call.
