  1. 1Heat the protein

    Warm 1/2 cup of ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until hot, about 3 minutes.

  2. 2Warm the grain

    If your rice is pre-cooked, microwave 1 cup of rice with a splash of water for 90 seconds. If cooking from scratch, follow the package.

  3. 3Build the bowl

    Rice goes in first, then the protein on top, then the vegetable alongside.

  4. 4Add the cheese

    Scatter 1/4 cup of shredded cheese over the top while everything's still warm so it melts slightly.
