Steak and Egg Rice Bowl

  1. 1Sear the steak

    Season 5 oz of steak generously with salt and pepper. Sear in a very hot cast iron pan, 3-4 minutes per side for medium. Rest 5 minutes, then slice thin against the grain.

  2. 2Warm the grain

    If your rice is pre-cooked, microwave 1 cup of rice with a splash of water for 90 seconds. If cooking from scratch, follow the package.

  3. 3Cook the veg

    Steam or microwave 1 cup of spinach until just tender, about 3-4 minutes. You want it bright, not mushy.

  4. 4Build the bowl

    Rice goes in first, then the protein on top, then the vegetable alongside.

  5. 5Sauce it

    Drizzle 1 tbsp of soy sauce over everything and toss or leave layered — your call.
